Surtling cores look like glowing orange cubes, and they are usually suspended on little stands in the deepest parts of tombs. Venture into the burial chambers and explore them to find surtling cores. Don’t confuse them with troll caves, which you’ll probably want to avoid at this stage. These will have stone slabs atop them and will usually be surrounded by skeletons. Search the black forest biome for burial chambers. What’s essential to making both of these is surtling cores. Next, you’ll need to make a kiln and a smelter. For this, you’ll need to defeat the first boss and use its antlers to craft the pickaxe. To make bronze in Valheim, the first thing you’ll need is an antler pickaxe.
